It’s time to build a new quad! Even though the HMB-235 has served me well and it’s still flying pretty well, I decided to build a 2nd quad. One of the reasons is to have a spare quad if 1 breaks in the field. Nothing is more frustrating then driving […]
My first “race”! This footage was shot at the bi-weekly funrace in Deventer. My mobius mount broke off during a crash, so I had to reattach it with a velcro strap, hence the jello in some of the video. Many props were broken in the making of this video! […]
So the weather wasn’t cooperating all that well, but I managed to get some flights in over the past couple of months. I didn’t get enough decent quality video to make a video of each session, so I decided to make a recap of them all. I changed props from […]
In order to get some race practice in, I needed to get some airflags and airgates. I have used some sticks I found around the field in the past, but not every field I fly at has them, and they can be hard to drive into the ground. So I […]
With the new ESC’s flashed with BLHeli 14.5 , it is time to replace the old ESC’s.
Today I will give some tips how to flash the BLHeli bootloader to Xrotor ESC’s.
During my flights over the past week or so I have noticed some weird problems with my quad. It had issues with sudden uncommanded yaw and pitch and it just didn’t fly very nicely. It was time to fix that!
Practicing FPV flying around some ‘improvised airflags’. I don’t have any real airflags (yet), so I stuck some sticks into the ground and used those as flag to make a simple circuit.
I managed to get a little bit of flying in in the time is hasn’t been raining over here. I only managed to fly 1,5 batteries because both my antenna tiewraps broke off and of course I forgot to bring the right stuff to efficiently repair it in the field.
The weather finally cooperated a bit, so time to fly!
